The EMG BTS System is the full installation kit version of the BTS two-band bass-voiced active EQ, packaged with all of the wiring components needed to fit the module into an active EMG bass setup. The kit contains the bass and treble pots, the EQ circuit board, the solderless quick-connect harness, the output jack and the battery connector configured for use with EMG's active and X-Series bass pickup ranges. A single 9V battery powers the entire chain. The Active and X wiring presupposes that the pickups feeding the EQ are EMG active or X-Series bass designs sending the relatively low-impedance line-level signal those circuits produce. Bass players running passive HZ pickups should look at the BTS-HZ System sibling instead, which carries the load resistor network HZ pickups need. The System version saves the player or builder from sourcing the wiring kit separately. Best suited to a full rewire of an active EMG-equipped bass where two-band bass-voiced shelving is the right level of EQ for the instrument and the player wants the complete chain in one box.
