The Enigma Code Red paddle is a carbon shafted lightweight paddle with a telescopic adjustable length from 215-225cm and an adjustable feather (angle of offset between the two blades), which can be rotated through every angle to suit both left and right handed paddlers. Available in two lay-ups; Red, glass fibre blades or the Carbon, full carbon blades, it is designed to be used for touring, sea kayaking or kayak angling. The narrower carbon shaft features a comfortable elliptical shape making it suitable for paddlers with smaller hands. The mid-sized paddle face suits most paddlers as it offers excellent catchment on the water without exerting too much energy on every paddle stroke, this results in making it extremely comfortable to paddle with all day. The dihedral blade shape provides a smooth stroke with minimal blade flutter, while the high-angle encourages good paddling techniques and a greater catch to propel the kayak into a short sprint. The feather and length can be easily adjusted on the water (even with cold hands) via the simple, hard wearing, plastic lever lock system in the centre of the shaft. The Code Red is designed to be stored in two pieces for easier transportation, and comes with a paddle bag to keep the paddle protected whilst in transit or storage when not on the water. The adjustable length makes this paddle suitable for a range of kayaks, from narrower closed cockpit touring kayaks and sea kayaks, to wider sit-on-tops, tandems and inflatables as well as appropriate for maximum stability raised seats in some fishing kayaks. What's more, this range of lengths allows it to be best suited for a range of paddlers who may share a paddle as well as in different styles of boat.
