This beautiful elm dining suite comprising a large refectory table and six chairs, is from sought-after UK furniture maker Ercol and is sure to be a much-loved addition to the family dining room. The exceptional table features a distinctive elm grain top, set on a farmhouse-style leg frame and has ample space for six to dine in comfort. The six accompanying chairs including two ‘Carvers’ are typical of the Ercol range. Our restoration workshop has stripped the original darker finish from this dining suite before applying several spray coats of a clear lacquer that brings out the rich grain in the elm as well as provides a good level of protection in everyday use. As with all natural wood furniture care is needed when placing hot or sharp items and we always recommend the use of mats and coasters to avoid damaging the table surface. This dining set is made entirely of solid elm.
