This Ercol dining table and six ‘Old Colonial’ chairs, producing a striking combination of craftsmanship and traditional styling. The table’s soft-edged rectangular top provides generous seating space, while the chairs display classic turned legs, carved back panels, and spindle details that give the set its distinctive character. Two carvers add presence and comfort at the ends of the table, creating a balanced and inviting arrangement suitable for both formal and relaxed settings. The original darker finish has been completely stripped, and multiple coats of hard-wearing matte lacquer have been applied. This treatment gives the set a durable, long-lasting finish while bringing out the rich natural movement in the timber. This set is made entirely from solid oak. There is a small scratch in the tabletop, this is visible in the accompanying photographs. We also have the original cushions for the chairs, but they need re-upholstering. We are happy to send these along with the set if they were wanted.
