Organic Artisan Serenity: Escalas Willow Scallop Glazed Tiles Introduce a sense of calm, natural movement to your home with the Escalas Willow Scallop Glazed Tiles, a designer essential that combines soft botanical tones with contemporary architectural form. Taking its name from the Spanish word for "scales," the Escalas collection is handcrafted by a specialist artisan producer in Spain. These 15.5x17cm glazed tiles feature a distinctive scallop or "fish scale" shape, creating a rhythmic and sophisticated pattern that leads the eye across the space. The Willow colourway offers a soft, muted green finish that evokes a tranquil garden aesthetic, elevated by a subtle crackle glaze for exceptional visual depth. With a 9mm thickness and a high-gloss surface, these tiles reflect light beautifully, making them an ideal choice for creating an inviting atmosphere in bathrooms, showers, and kitchens. It must be sealed with a high-quality penetrative sealer both before and after grouting to prevent staining within the hairline cracks. Grout Joint: We recommend a 1.5mm grout joint. Using a soft neutral or matching willow green grout will create a seamless look, while a light grey grout can subtly highlight the unique scale shape. Cleaning: Maintain the glossy finish with a pH-neutral cleaner. Avoid abrasive pads or aggressive chemicals that could damage the glaze and affect the soft willow green tone.
