The Espalar universal starter kit is designed to get you underway with your first espalier project and comes with wire cutters, hex driver and rivet gun for tensioning the wires. You get all the components to build either a 4 wire horizontal espalier panel or a diamond pattern espalier panel. The horizontal espalier is ideal for heavy loading fruit trees such as apples and pears as well as grape vines and climbing vegetables. The diamond espalier is great for ornamental vines such as star jasmine and the like. This kit includes wood tek screws for standard timber installation. If you wish to fix to masonry or tin/metal fences, you will need the appropriate screws, which can be purchased from most hardware stores.
