Here is how this kit works. The mounting discs bond to your surface with 3M industrial-strength VHB adhesive. That bond is permanent, so mark your placement and get it right the first time. The discs turn the surface into a magnetic landing zone. The Rubber-Coated Magnets then sit on top of the discs and hold the mount down. The magnets are the part that comes off.
