The Evacuation Chair Train the Trainer course is an empowering practical training session for up to 4 of your key staff. It has been developed to give them the know-how to train colleagues in the safe and compliant use of evacuation chairs. Building on advanced operational skill, it also teaches safe-evacuation leadership, all-while ensuring that your organisation meets UK fire safety and equality legislation. Delivered by the Emergency Group, no previous evacuation chair knowledge is required, and will cover approximately 4 hours of people-handling techniques, deployment of equipment, compliance and hazard awareness. This also includes intensive training using your chairs. By the end of the course, learners can expect to: Be able to deploy and use evacuation equipment safely and with confidence. Have increased awareness and sensitivity to potential evacuation hazards that may prevent safe evacuation of a building. Know how evacuation equipment enables them to safely evacuate a building, and helps fulfil the requirements of your evacuation procedures. Cascade effectively, how to use evacuation equipment to create operators of that equipment. Please be aware that there is a heightened level of physical activity during the physical aspect of the training. As a result, consider the following points when choosing to attend: Physical ailments and limitations. Pregnancy. Aggravation of any health conditions that may occur during physical activity. After successfully completing the training, all delegates will receive a 3-year digital certificate, confirming their status as Evacuation Chair Trainers.
