Made of beech wood and tampico fiber, this brush's stiff bristles are well-suited to cleaning dishes that require mild abrasion without scratching. The brush head can be easily replaced with a refill. It is handcrafted by Iris Hantverk in Sweden following traditional techniques developed almost 200 years ago. Iris Hantverk is a manufacturing company with roots in Sweden's visual impairment movement. In the late 19th century a group of visually-impaired craftsmen from across the country came together to establish a brush-making collective called De Blindas Förening (The Blind Association). The group was originally formed to provide equal opportunities to earn a living for the blind and partially sighted, as well as developing specialized brush making techniques.
