About the Victorian 4 Panel Oak Door The Victorian 4 Panel has the elegant, symmetrical four-panel layout that defined the era, two smaller panels above two longer ones, framed by classic mouldings. It is a fully solid oak door with no glazing, giving warmth, privacy and real presence, and it sits perfectly on Victorian and period homes. A matching unglazed version is available if you would like a glazing aperture for your own glass. Handcrafted solid oak Made to order in the UK from responsibly sourced, prime-grade European solid oak using traditional joinery, so each door is strong, stable and full of natural character. The door is 44mm thick and available in four standard sizes, with bespoke sizes on request. Finishing & Care This door arrives prefinished and ready to hang, professionally finished to bring out the oak's natural tone and grain. Like any external oak door, it is best fitted in a sheltered spot, under a porch or canopy, rather than fully exposed to driving rain or strong sun. Timber is a natural material and can move a little as it settles in; the occasional minor adjustment is a normal part of looking after a solid oak door. Oak Weather Bar We also supply an Oak Weather Bar to match, which will be needed if the door is open to the elements. Although supplied prefinished, this door should be re-coated roughly every six months with a suitable external treatment such as the Impranol range, and kept dry through the use of a canopy or similar.
