FADD Polyclonal Antibody Sizes: 50µl, 100µl Catalogue Numbers: BS80341-50, BS80341-100 Product: 1mg/ml in PBS with 0.02% sodium azide, 50% glycerol, pH7.2 Swiss-Prot: Q13158 Host: Rabbit Reactivity: Human Applications: WB All Applications: WB,1:500 - 1:2000 Background: The protein encoded by this gene is an adaptor molecule that interacts with various cell surface receptors and mediates cell apoptotic signals. Through its C-terminal death domain, this protein can be recruited by TNFRSF6/Fas-receptor, tumor necrosis factor receptor, TNFRSF25, and TNFSF10/TRAIL-receptor, and thus it participates in the death signaling initiated by these receptors. Interaction of this protein with the receptors unmasks the N-terminal effector domain of this protein, which allows it to recruit caspase-8, and thereby activate the cysteine protease cascade. Knockout studies in mice also suggest the importance of this protein in early T cell development. Purification and Purity: The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen and the purity is > 95% (by SDS-PAGE). Storage and Stability: Store at 4°C short term. Aliquot and store at -20°C long term. Avoid freeze-thaw cycles. Specificity: Unmodification Note: For research use only, not for use in diagnostic procedure. Alternative Name: FADD; GIG3; MORT1; Fas associated via death domain Immunogen: Recombinant fusion protein of human FADD(Q13158). Conjugate: Unconjugated Modification: Unmodified
