The catch goes first; then the hinge tabs; then a corner, on machines whose covers get prised off with a thumbnail rather than released. Whichever fails, the outcome is identical: a filter with room to move. Air is lazy and will take a low-resistance gap at the rim over the higher-resistance route through the media every time, so the machine carries on sounding healthy while filtering less than it should. A new panel puts the media back square and shuts the compartment as designed. The job needs no tools beyond what a filter change already asks for, and the existing filter goes straight back in.The SW in the middle of the number is SEBO's code for black, and it recurs on the AIRBELT E sheet wherever a part shares the body colour: 8328SWER is printed as the black top casing at item 22, and 8249SWER as the black exhaust air filter cover at item 4.
