A figure nestles at the center of an enormous cloud of billowing pink tulle, the fabric spreading outward in every direction against a bright teal sky. Shot from below, the composi tion tilts the world upward, giving the image a sense of weightlessness and infinite expansion. The soft collision of rose and aquamarine, body and air creates a visual language of pure release. Carla Sutera Sardo (b. Agrigento, 1983) is a Sicilian photographer whose practice explores the female figure and the dialogue between body and landscape, often through dreamlike, suspended imagery. Her work has been published in L'Oeil de la Photographie and Vogue Italia, recognized by the Sony World Photography Awards and Siena Photography Awards, and exhibited internationally in cities including London, Paris, and Florence.
