Once you have completed the FT101 you are ready to take the next step in your fly tying journey. FT201 shares intermediate to advanced techniques to begin tying more complex fly pa tterns using both natural and synthetic materials as well as in depth instruction on techniques to make durable effective fly patterns for fresh and saltwater. Instruction will include tool techniques, material selection and epoxy techniques to make the most of your fly ties. This is a class that you will spend approximately 90 minutes tying flies. As in FT101 each student will have a completely appointed workstation to use during the class. We recognize that you might have begun to assemble your own fly tying kit of vise and tools. We encourage you to bring these but feel free to use ours if you would like. You will have the opportunity to learn to tie several fly patterns that you can use in our regional waters. FT101 is required to take our FT201. Price: $50/student to register. Will be given a $25 gift certificate at time of class. When: These are 90 minute classes held in the Reno Fly shop from 6:30-8:00 pm on the dates identified below. Your instructor will call you the day before the class between 4-6pm at the number you provide during registration. Where: The entire class is held at the Reno Fly Shop (238 S. Arlington Ave.) Who: Space is limited to 6 students Our classes, FT101 and FT201 are group lessons offered by our in-house guide/instructors.
