Fosroc Lokfix E55S is a medium to heavy duty resin anchoring solution with a significantly broader approval envelope than the polyester-based E35S. Its vinyl-ester formulation delivers higher compressive strength (100 MPa) and an elevated E modulus (14,000 MPa), making it suitable for more demanding structural applications including post-installed reinforcement and fixings in seismic zones. Like all Lokfix products, it does not apply expansive force to the substrate, allowing closer edge distances than mechanical anchors. Typical applications include Anchoring threaded rods into cracked and uncracked concrete (M8–M30) Post-installed reinforcement (Ø8–Ø32) Fixings in seismic zones (C1) Fire-rated applications up to 2 hours Internal, external and submerged installations Masonry anchoring using Hollow Block Sleeves (M8–M12) Horizontal, vertical and overhead application Benefits Styrene-free vinyl-ester resin, low VOC, LEED compliant Approved for cracked and uncracked concrete — ETA-18/0586 Post-installed rebar approved — ETA-18/0587 (Ø8–Ø32) Masonry approved — ETA-18/0585 (M8–M12) C1 seismic resistance Fire resistance up to 2 hours (consult test data for specific conditions) Suitable for dry, damp and flooded concrete Internal, external and submerged conditions No expansive force allows closer edge distances than mechanical anchors Protects fixing from corrosion Re-usable cartridge, use a standard skeleton gun Good to know Curing times vary with substrate temperature, from 6 minutes gel time and 45 minutes fixing time at +20°C, down to 90 minutes gel time and 1,440 minutes fixing time at -10°C. Do not load or apply tension to the fixing until the stated fixing time has been observed. Compressive strength: 100 MPa / E modulus: 14,000 MPa Permanent service temperature: -40°C to +72°C 45 minutes fixing time at +20°C
