When you're out in the field, ensuring you have the exact Rheem-Ruud FP-26 Conversion Kit is the difference between a clean furnace startup and a wasted service call. This kit is a professional-grade solution specifically engineered for converting 90 Plus gas furnaces from natural gas to liquid propane (LP) operation. Designed for high-efficiency systems utilizing a Honeywell two-stage gas valve with direct spark ignition, the FP-26 provides critical pressure regulation and orifice sizing to maintain AFUE ratings and combustion stability after fuel conversion. A veteran tech knows that Rheem furnace LP conversion isn't just about swapping a part; it's about matching the LP gas conversion kit to the specific gas code and valve type on the data plate. This kit includes the necessary high-precision burner orifices, two distinct gas valve spring kits for stage regulation, and detailed technical instructions to ensure the manifold pressure is dialed in correctly. Relying on an OEM Rheem conversion kit like the FP-26 ensures that the heat exchanger and burner assembly operate within the manufacturer's specified parameters for safety and long-term reliability. Key Benefits Precise Fuel Regulation: Includes specialized springs for Honeywell two-stage gas valves to handle higher LP inlet pressures. High-Efficiency Compatibility: Optimized for 90% and higher AFUE Rheem and Ruud gas furnaces. Manifold Pressure Stability: Ensures proper BTUs per hour (BTUH) delivery to the burners following the Nat-to-LP transition. Installation Accuracy: Includes technical documentation for verifying gas codes and orifice sizing. Common Questions Which gas valve does the FP-26 work with? This kit is specifically designed for systems using Honeywell 2-stage gas valves with direct spark ignition (DSI). Can I use this for 80% furnaces? No, the FP-26 is engineered for 90 Plus furnace models; 80% models typically require different kits like the FP-22 or FP-25 depending on the valve brand. Are the orifices included? Yes, the kit contains the correct burner orifices required for proper LP combustion. Disclaimer: While we strive for 100% accuracy, product data and specifications are subject to change.
