This lab includes MS Learn content which is fully integrated in the account portal and lab environment. GitHub Foundations introduces you to the fundamental concepts, features, and products of GitHub. You'll discover the benefits of using GitHub as a collaborative platform and explore its core features, such as repository management, commits, branches, and merging. Through curated modules and hands-on exercises, you'll gain a solid understanding of GitHub's essential tools and be well-equipped to start contributing to projects and collaborating effectively within GitHub. This lab requires users to have their own GitHub account. If they don’t already have one, the lab steps include instructions to help them create it. Additionally, a GitHub Copilot account is required. A free trial of GitHub Copilot is available and sufficient for the duration of this course. Students will be guided through the process of setting up GitHub Copilot as part of the lab instructions. A credit card is required to activate the free trial. Simple, step-by-step guidance is included to walk learners through activating the trial and canceling it before the lab ends, ensuring no charges are incurred Labs are available in English.
