Giant Nobel is an heirloom spinach that produces large, thick leaves with a smooth texture and delicious flavor. Introduced in 1926 by Zwaan and Van der Molen of The Netherlands, G iant Nobel's large, 24-inch plants produce abundantly over an extended harvest window, making a great spinach for spring and fall planting. The large, slightly savoyed leaves are ideal for both fresh eating, canning and freezing. The leaves can also be harvested early for a tender and delicious baby spinach. An All-America Selections winner in 1933. Known under many names including Monstrous of Enkhuizen, Matador, Gaudry Long Standing, Giant Fillabasket, Diamond and many more.
