Calling all Glass Enthusiasts! OGC is welcoming artist in residence Dan Alexander, a renowned glass artist who specializes in creating optical illusions in his large-scale pieces using intricate colour designs with advanced bar and murrine techniques. Dan’s resume is packed with impressive experience, including studying with Maestro Davide Salvadore in Murano, Italy, and being a lead gaffer at the Corning Museum of Glass, just to name a couple. Nowadays, through his non-profit studio Art, Education, Gathering Inc. (St. Petersburg, Florida), Dan is no stranger to strengthening the community through artist education and outreach. Over the 3 days, students will learn about the unique techniques that Dan uses to create his masterpieces.
