The rounded shape of the “Sencha Cup” balances perfectly when placed on a saucer, making it ideal for both everyday use and for serving guests. The exterior features a luxurious traditional Tenmoku glaze, with a rust-colored rim that enhances the refined look of the cup. The interior is finished with white porcelain, allowing the color of the drink to stand out. The contrast between the glazes on the inside and outside adds to the visual and tactile experience. A porcelain tea strainer is built into the spout, and the “Basic Teapot” is compatible with additional strainers. There is a “vent hole” in the handle, which is a necessary part of the production process. However, when using a dishwasher or soaking the teapot, water may enter the hole and leak out during subsequent use.
