Produced exclusively from Hambledon's estate on the southeasterly facing chalk slopes of Windmill Down in the historic village of Hambledon, the Classic Cuvée Rosé is a blend of th e three grape varieties associated with Champagne, with the blend being composed of 82% Chardonnay, 17% Pinot Noir, and 1% Pinot Meunier. The wine was bottle matured, on the lees for 4 years. Salmon pink in color, the wine is bursting with fresh red fruits, magnolia blossom, tart cranberry and meyer lemon. As England’s oldest vineyard having been established in 1952, Hambledon is nestled in the picturesque village of Hambledon, Hampshire. Inspired by his passion for wine and after consultations with friends at the renowned Champagne House Pol Roger, Major-General Sir Guy Salisbury-Jones planted various grape varieties. This endeavor marked the inception of England’s first commercial range of wines.
