The Haystack — Fuzzy Goat's Very Own Knitting Needle Roll You can find a knitting needle in a haystack. That's literally the point. The Haystack is our custom-designed, only-at-Fuzzy-Goat knitting needle roll — born out of Cadence's frustration with every other option on the market. Too long to be portable. Too shallow to close with a full set inside. Functional but joyless. She had a vintage roll she loved and knew exactly what fabric she wanted to use. So she called Jenny. Girl-Made, Southern-Born Jenny Bickley of Honey Bee Fabrications in Tallahassee guided us through every detail until we had it exactly right. We chose a linen-cotton blend for the outside — textured enough to be satisfying, squishable enough to tuck into any tote or backpack — with a light cotton lining that's cheerful without adding weight. The fabric was printed just 125 miles away in Panama City, Florida by Chris and Eric. Jenny sewed the design. Our illustrator Ilona — who also designed The Billie fabric — handled all the artwork digitally from Europe. This bag has barely left the South, and we're proud of that. What's Inside We worked with our friends Marianne and Katy at Katrinkles to design the included knitting needle sizing tool — custom-made to match our fabric and sized to slip perfectly into The Haystack's pockets. Every Haystack also comes with a pocket label system so you can file your needles by size and actually find them again. 15 pockets to hold circular needles, hooks, tools, and a pen. A flap so nothing falls out no matter which way you're holding it. The right cord to tie it shut. Everything we wanted and nothing we didn't. Add On Grab a half or full set of Katrinkles stitch markers to make your Haystack fully functional — available in US sizes 1–6 or 7–13 to match what you actually use.
