Jordan EJ14 (2004): Lazarus The Jordan EJ14 carried a message on its nose when it broke cover: 'Lazarus'. The team had barely survived the winter, and the car, an upgraded EJ13 with a revised aerodynamic package, new single-keel suspension and Ford Cosworth RS V10 power, reflected the constraints of a team fighting for its existence. Nick Heidfeld led the driving effort alongside Giorgio Pantano, later replaced by Tiago Monteiro and Zsolt Baumgartner. Results were hard to come by, but the team crossed the finish line of the season having endured, refusing to accept that the story was over. The rarest complications are those built at the limit of the possible, assembled under extraordinary pressure by people who refused to stop. The EJ14 was that complication. This watch honours resilience in its purest form: the determination to finish what was begun, regardless of the odds. The Watch The watch itself is the Hunter evolved. At its heart beats the CIGA Design in-house CD-011 manual tourbillon, its skeletonised bridge and base plate expanding the visible mechanism by 200 per cent. Green-tipped luminous hands honour Eddie's Irish roots, blue screws and ruby jewels echo his ardour and reason, and the yellow strap carries the colours of Jordan Grand Prix. Eddie's signature is engraved on the three-layered octagonal case, forged from DLC-coated Grade 5 titanium, and his FTB wrist tattoo is embossed on the strap loop. The Signed Print This piece is paired with a print of the Jordan EJ14, personally signed by Andy Stevenson. Andy joined Eddie's team in 1988, before Jordan ever reached Formula One, and worked on every car the team built, from the 191 to the EJ15. He went on to become one of the most respected figures in the paddock and has never missed a race since. His signature connects this watch directly to the hands that built the car it honours.
