Sashiko is a form of embroidery developed in Japan hundreds of years ago. The beautiful patterns are made up of many small simple stitches and the white thread on Indigo coloured f abric is quite striking. There are hundreds of patterns and children will be able to choose a pattern to work on the day. In this class, children will learn how to thread a needle, do basic running stitch and follow a pattern. The finished sewn pattern will be mounted into a wood hoop for display. ****This class is recommended for children 7+**** Classes are on select dates in the School Holidays.
