Plaster cast of a large antique French Ionic pilaster capital. Dramatic scale, boldly proportioned, very crisp detailing and wonderful historic patina. Cast from a rare, early 19th century antique plaster cast. Dimensions (cm): Height 36, Width 55, Depth 16. To the rear, hand-initialled and stamped with the Alexander Griffin maker's mark and fitted with brass-wrapped steel-core wire for wall hanging from a single screw / nail / hook.
