Dive deeper Discover electronics and get hacking on embedded targets with this tiny versatile development kit featuring the ioNode development board, a USB cable and some basic components. The ioNode hosts an ATMEGA1284P - a beefy member of the AVR microcontroller family, as well as a USB UART allowing for easy programming and communication with a host computer. Program the microcontroller to interact with electronic systems, build a command-line interface through USB or just blink some funky lights. Individually control the 30 digital I/O's and use standard protocols such as SPI or I2C to communicate with a variety of chips and boards. Please note: although the ioNode can be programmed directly through USB without any other requirements, you will need a soldering iron, some solder as well as some wire if you plan to use the components included in the kit to actually build any circuits around it. Soldering equipment is not included with the ioNode. Trusted technology The Dooba SDK serves as the foundation for many of Ringtail Security products. The ATMEGA1284P is the same microcontroller as featured in the Skunk gigabit switch.
