A gently tapered Raku cylinder marked by drifting smoke clouds, soft charcoal washes, and the fine linear etching that comes from combustibles burning directly against the clay. Th e surface shifts from pale cream to deep storm-gray, with feathery white flashes and subtle iridescence catching the light at the shoulder. Each turn of the form reveals a different pattern left by flame, heat, and reduction—an atmospheric record unique to this firing. Feathers, horsehair and sugar were used to create this piece.
