The 6600-167 is the genuine replacement water temperature sensor with box-end (square plug) connectors used on many Sundance® and Jacuzzi® spa control systems. It replaces the earlier 6600-105 and 6600-138 sensors and is interchangeable with 6600-182. The sensor reads your spa's water temperature and reports it to the control board, so a failing sensor can cause wrong temperature readings, heating that won't shut off or won't start, or sensor-related error codes on the topside. Dealer fitment lists include Sundance 880™ systems from 2005, 850 systems from 1997–2005, 2012+ Aspen®, the 1992 Suncoast, and 1997–2005 Sundance 400, 600, 750 and 800 models, as well as Jacuzzi® 2002+ J-300™ LCD systems, 2002–2003 J-350/J-360/J-380, 2004–2006 J-355/J-365/J-375/J-385, and 2005–2009 J-400™ models. Because Sundance and Jacuzzi have used several sensor connectors over the years, compare the plug on your old sensor before ordering: this part has box-end connectors, while newer spas use the 3-pin 6600-751/6600-551 and many LED-control spas use the curled-finger 6600-166. The sensor comes with a cable of about 12 feet. The O-ring that seals the sensor in its housing (6540-228) is sold separately, and we recommend replacing it whenever you change the sensor. Turn off power at the breaker before working in the equipment bay, and have a qualified technician install it if you're not comfortable working with spa electronics.
