Originally bred in France and prized for its sweet flavour, its beautifully elongated bulbs have also made ‘Jermor’ a favourite with exhibition growers, while their uniform shape makes them particularly useful in the kitchen. Plant the sets in autumn and each one multiplies underground to produce a cluster of around 6–8 new shallots. ‘Jermor’ is an early, good-yielding variety, producing long, even bulbs that are particularly convenient to peel and slice for roasting, caramelising, sauces, dressings and salads. It’s also a useful shallot if you like to grow enough to last. The bulbs store well once properly dried, so you can keep enjoying your homegrown crop after harvest, while our certified virus- and eelworm-free sets give you healthy, quality planting stock to get your crop off to a strong start.
