Jermor Shallots are a very flavoursome half long variety, with a lovely sweet taste popular for use in sauces, dressings and salads. This tasty variety is loved by TV chefs. These copper skinned vegetable bulbs have a crisp, pink tinged flesh and are commonly known as Banana Shallots due to their elongated shape. These Autumn planting shallot sets will be ready to harvest in June and July, storing well once picked. Shallots have a sweeter and milder taste than onions, having twice the amount of vitamin C. They are also rich in vitamins A, B and E. These sets will be ready for planting when you receive them, however if you are not garden ready yet, ensure you open the paper bag, store in a cool dark spot and keep away from any pests, it is essential they have airflow and avoid any moisture. As each shallot has a different weight, it may not be exact.
