This pay-as-you-go plan includes 3 × 2-hour sessions with a repair professional, giving you the opportunity to deepen your kintsugi skills and continue progressing with your repair step by step. Please note that these classes are held once per week, with at least one week between each session. Traditional kintsugi uses natural urushi lacquer, which needs time to cure before the next stage of the repair can begin. This waiting period is an essential part of the process and ensures the strength and longevity of the repair. Because of this curing time, the three sessions cannot be scheduled on consecutive days or within the same week. The program is therefore best suited for guests who will be in Kyoto for at least three weeks, or who are able to return weekly for their sessions.If you will be in Kyoto for a shorter visit, we would be happy to recommend one of our single-session experiences instead.
