Place: Lazio, Italy Grape: Chardonnay Vibe: Natural, textural, tasty Chardonnay planted over tufo up in Pitigliano. Like Chardonnay but bored of Burgundy? Drink this. Unique in it' s unparalleled levels of refreshment. Direct press, into barrel, left alone. Opulent stonefruit but tight and lean. The acidity is pronounced, with wonderfully worked volatility acting as a balancing counterpoint to the mineral-rich finish. They worked with Schueler, and I imagine if he made a Chardonnay, it'd taste like this. Also how good is that label? Show more
