LeKiwi Base Electronics Kit: 3 × Feetech STS3215 12 V Servos + Bus Servo Adapter + Cables, for LeRobot LeKiwi
The LeKiwi Base Electronics Kit is the set of drive electronics for the open-source LeKiwi mobile robot base used with Hugging Face LeRobot: three 12 V Feetech STS3215 servos that drive the omni wheels in continuous-rotation mode, the USB bus servo adapter that LeRobot talks to, and the servo cables to chain them.Everything electrical that the LeKiwi mobile base needs to drive its three omni wheels: three 12 V STS3215 servos, the USB bus servo adapter that LeRobot talks to and a full set of servo cables. Add your printed base, omni wheels, Raspberry Pi and battery, and the base is ready to calibrate with the standard LeRobot lekiwi config. What can you use it for? Building the three-wheel omnidirectional LeKiwi base from printed parts Adding a mobile base under an SO-101 follower arm for mobile manipulation datasets Teaching holonomic drive and wheel odometry with real bus servos Replacing the drive servos of an existing LeKiwi Who is it for?Makers and labs building LeKiwi from the open-source files who want the correct 12 V servos and adapter in one order instead of three.Compatibility Robot: LeKiwi (SIGRobotics / Hugging Face LeRobot), three omni wheels at 120° Software: LeRobot lekiwi robot config; servos appear on the Waveshare adapter as a serial port Servos: STS3215-C018, 12 V, 1:345, IDs set to the LeKiwi wheel IDs before assembly Power: 12 V battery on the robot; any 12 V ≥ 5 A adapter with a 5.5 × 2.1 mm plug for bench setup (not included) Getting started: from unboxing to your first LeRobot dataset Print the LeKiwi base plates and wheel hubs from the open-source files. Connect one servo at a time to the Waveshare adapter and set the wheel IDs with LeRobot's motor-setup step. Mount the servos and omni wheels, then chain them with the 20 cm and 40 cm cables to the adapter. Power from a 12 V supply or battery, plug the adapter into the Raspberry Pi or laptop by USB-C. Run the LeRobot lekiwi config and drive the base with the keyboard teleoperation script. Specifications Contents 3 × Feetech STS3215-C018 12 V 30 kg·cm servos (1:345, each with metal horns, screws and a 15 cm cable), 1 × Waveshare Bus Servo Adapter (A), 12 × 3-pin servo cables (4 × 15, 4 × 20, 4 × 40 cm) For The three wheel drives of the open-source LeKiwi mobile base (Hugging Face LeRobot / SIGRobotics). Servos run in wheel (continuous-rotation) mode Not included 3D-printed base parts, omni wheels, Raspberry Pi 5, battery pack, cameras, and the SO-101 arm that mounts on top Bought separately $91.97 as three line items; this kit is $84.99 Power supply Not included — on the robot the base runs from a 12 V battery; for bench setup use any 12 V ≥ 5 A adapter with a 5.5 × 2.1 mm plug Country of origin China; kitted, packed and shipped from Singapore What's in the box Default Title: 3 × Feetech STS3215-C018 12 V servos (each with metal horns, screws and a 15 cm cable), 1 × Waveshare Bus Servo Adapter (A), 12 × 3-pin cables (4 × 15, 4 × 20, 4 × 40 cm)Buy parts separatelySpares and add-ons for this kit: spare STS3215 servos, servo cables, cameras and camera mounts.Shipping and returnsShips from our warehouse in Singapore with tracking. Parts and accessories are charged by parcel weight, the same rates everywhere: $11.99 up to 250 g, $19.99 to 500 g, $34.99 to 1 kg and $59.99 to 2 kg. Orders over $100 that stay under 500 g ship free. Standard tracked runs 5–18 business days; DHL Express (3–5 business days) is offered at checkout if you need it sooner. Within Singapore: $6, or free over $110. Assembled robot-arm kits over 2 kg are built and calibrated to order in Singapore (dispatch in 7–10 business days) and ship worldwide at carrier cost: SingPost Speedpost Priority from $124.99 (10–14 business days) or DHL Express from $229.99 (3–5 business days), shown at checkout. 7-day returns; defective items are replaced or refunded with shipping covered. Import duties, where charged by your country, are paid by the recipient. One parcel, one shipping charge: small parts travel together, so the postage on a single 70 g servo is the same as on six of them. A 500 g parcel holds roughly six servos plus horns and cables — which is also about where an order passes $100 and ships free. If you are buying one small item, it is usually worth checking what else you will need for the same build.Frequently asked questionsWhat else do I need to finish a LeKiwi? The printed base, three omni wheels, a Raspberry Pi 5, a 12 V battery pack, and usually two cameras. For the arm on top, add an SO-101 follower (our single-arm kit, follower version).Which power supply should I buy?On the robot, a 12 V battery. On the bench, any 12 V adapter rated 5 A or more with a 5.5 × 2.1 mm centre-positive plug. Power supplies are not included because they are hard to ship internationally. Why 12 V servos and not the 7.4 V ones? The LeKiwi design uses 12 V STS3215-C018 servos for the wheels: more torque at the same current, and the same battery voltage as the follower arm.Can I use the servos for an arm later?Yes. They are standard STS3215-C018 servos; change the ID and mode and they work in an SO-101 follower joint.
