Linalyl Acetate is, in most cases, found in nature paired with its parent alcohol Linalool. It is the fresher material of the two and can be used alone (in quite large amounts) to add a generic freshness to the top notes of a scent. It works well to boost Bergamot and other citrus oils and is essential for recreations of the same. Linalyl Acetate is green, citrus, bergamot, floral and woody. It adapts incredibly well to virtually every type of fragrance and so we consider it one of the most important top note tools in the perfumer's arsenal. Our Linalool and Linalyl Acetate come from BASF in Germany which makes extremely fine aroma chemicals. BASF is our preferred supplier for many standard materials due to their meticulous care in manufacturing.
