Linalyl acetate is one of the major constituents of both Bergamot and Lavender essential oils. On its own it smells softer and cleaner, representing a single soft fuzzy tone. It's excellent as a blender between top and mid notes in perfume compositions, padding out the other materials with a warm softness (similar to how Bergamot is traditionally used but with less of a overtly citrus character).
