Bring home a piece of Tanzania! Our beautiful Lions Batik Art depics a family of lions proudly moving through the plains with the great mount Kilimanjaro as a back drop. All Batik paintings are made and produced in Tanzania by brushing hot liquid wax onto a piece of cotton cloth in a desired pattern and design. The cloth is then dipped into a dye which adheres to all the areas that are not covered by the wax. The wax is then removed and reapplied repeatedly for each color used.
