Engine Coolant - antifreeze and corrosion inhibitor fluid for the engine cooling system. The coolant circulates through the engine water jackets, radiator, heater circuit and expan sion tank, carrying combustion heat away from the cylinder block and head to the radiator. It lowers the freezing point and raises the boiling point of the circuit charge, and its inhibitor package protects the aluminium, cast iron and elastomer components of the cooling system against corrosion and scale.
