Grape: RieslingVintage: 2022Type: White This white wine is an off-dry Kabinett Feinherb expression of riesling sourced from the upper slope of the Gackes vineyard. Winemaker Julian Ludes harvests the old vines from the steep, blue slate terraces of Thörnich to capture crisp natural acidity. Spontaneous fermentation relies entirely on native wild yeasts inside traditional neutral vats, avoiding modern additives or high-temperature technological manipulations. This low-intervention process focuses on maintaining a classic feinherb balance between natural sugars and mountain freshness. It displays a pale straw hue, releasing complex aromatics of white peach, grapefruit rind, and cold slate minerality. On the palate, a lightweight frame balances a gentle fruit sweetness with a bracing line of Mosel acidity. The subtle residual sugar coordinates beautifully with the racy entry, preventing the texture from feeling overly sharp. A clean vein of flinty salinity runs through the center, adding depth across the clean mouthfeel. It finishes clean, persistent, and off-dry.
