Description M5Stack Atom DTU NBIoT2 v1.1 is a programmable NB-IoT DTU for global Cat-NB frequency bands. It integrates the SIM7028 communication module and uses UART communication through AT commands, making it suitable for low-throughput IoT data links that need wide-area cellular coverage. Compared with a conventional transparent-transmission DTU, M5Stack Atom DTU NBIoT2 v1.1 keeps a more open architecture for sensor and actuator expansion. It reserves RS485, I2C, and custom Grove interfaces, includes a DIN-rail mounting structure, and adds an M5IOE1 IO expansion chip for communication-module power enable and software reset control. The SIM7028 wireless transmission unit also adds ADC monitoring for the HT3.96-4P input power voltage, helping projects monitor power status in the field. With an external SMA antenna interface, global Cat-NB band support, MQTT/HTTP-related protocol support, and multiple power input options, the NB-IoT DTU is positioned for remote monitoring, asset tracking, remote control, shared-bicycle systems, and other industrial IoT deployments.
