Malus Marble is a delightful small flowering crab apple tree with plenty of interest over the seasons, but the fruits are the real star of the show. Beginning green-yellow, the cra b apples transform into a glowing vibrant pink hue, before fading slightly to feature spectacular pink and yellow marbling over the surface. The yield of crab apples can be huge and are ideal for culinary use as they are large, flavoursome and have good pectin levels for making jelly. Before the crab apples appear, Malus Marble blossoms with attractive single white flowers in spring amid the green foliage that turns pretty autumn shades as the seasons change. 'Marble' is perfect for smaller gardens as it will only grow to about 5 x 4 metres in 20 years and provides changing interest throughout the seasons. It's also pollution tolerant, so grows well in urban areas. This variety has large crab apples ideal for culinary use, so is sold with zero VAT.
