Matusko's Barrique Reserva comes from the same Dingač vineyards on the Pelješac peninsula that define this small, steep Croatian appellation for Plavac Mali. Barrel ageing adds dep th and polish to a wine already shaped by punishing sun exposure and low yields, and its 15% ABV signals real natural power. Dark-fruited and full-bodied, with firm tannin and a warm, savoury finish, it is built for rich, char-grilled food. Beef, lamb and cured meats are natural partners, as are aged cheeses and oily fish that can match its weight. Serve at 16-18°C. Show more
