Ruby Columnar has the largest fruit of the Mirabelle species. The fruit has an exceptionally sweet taste. Bright red in colour with the flesh inside also red. Best eaten straight f rom the tree, can also be used for cooking. Prefers a shelter spot and in full sun. This particular variety has an upright habit which is very different to other Mirabelle varieties which generally have a more spreading habit and are much more bushy. Excellent for a smaller.
