Emidio Pepe is the benchmark producer for Montepulciano and Trebbiano is the Italian region of Abruzzo, and some of his wine are the most age-worthy in all of Italy. Pepe was a pio neer in Italian biodynamic winemaking, and has remained at the forefront of natural winemaking. Fermentations occur in cement and bottle maturations are standard prior to release. Colli Aprutini is a small region located in Abruzzo, and Pepe's Pecorino is a Trebbiano of epic proportions, and is additionally the smallest production bottling at the vineyard. With hints of chamomile and almond laced throughout orchard fruit, apricots and raspberries, this wine is taut, with vibrant acidity and mineral crispness leading to a long and gorgeous finish. 13.5% ABV Show more
