Moss on Driftwood is a piece of natural driftwood pre-grown with live aquarium moss, creating one of the most versatile and widely loved planted features in the hobby. The soft, dense coverage of moss on natural wood produces an immediately naturalistic appearance that works in virtually any aquarium style — from detailed Nature Aquarium aquascapes to simple community tanks and dedicated shrimp set-ups. Aquarium moss is one of the easiest plants to maintain. It grows in low to medium light without CO2 injection and tolerates a wide range of water conditions. The moss will slowly spread and increase its coverage over the driftwood surface over time, growing denser and filling in naturally with no intervention needed. It is a favourite of shrimp that graze on it constantly and use it for shelter. The moss is pre-established on the driftwood so no further attachment is needed — simply rinse and place in the aquarium. The driftwood will anchor itself on the bottom of the tank. It may release some natural tannins initially, which is harmless and settles over time. Suited to aquariums of all sizes from 20 litres upward. Size guide: Nano 8-12cm Small 12-20cm Medium 20-30cm
