Mott Street Eatery, which opened in 2020, is Chinatown’s first food court. Featuring 12 different food stalls, it offers a wide variety of options to customers while providing an a ffordable platform for food entrepreneurs who couldn’t open their own restaurants at the time. Many business owners who lost their jobs during the pandemic were able to sustain their livelihoods through Mott Street Eatery. One of the food court’s owners, Justin, is a first-generation Chinese American whose father opened a Chinese restaurant in the 1980s.
