Mullein(Verbascum spp.)Energetics: Cooling and moistening This plant ally’s leaves are most commonly used for respiratory complaints. She contains saponins that loosen mucus and sooth/hydrate the lungs. She is often used for chronic lung problems such as asthma and COPD but is also helpful for colds and coughs(particularly dry). This plant ally is helpful for seasonal allergies and lung detox protocols. Any tincture can be added into a hot beverage to evaporate off the alcohol component while keeping the medicinal properties. As with all tinctures, I suggest starting with 3-5 drops and waiting 10-15 minutes to test tolerance.
