Considering the quantity of copper ore produced and sold by mines in Chile the number of actual Native Copper specimens seen in collections are few indeed. This extremely large min iature specimen is from El Salvador mine in the self-named El Salvador mining district, Chañaral Province, Atacama, Chile and is actually extremely rich when one looks in detail.
