Its spectrum is focused on wavelengths commonly used for photosynthesis, making it well suited for growing Chaetomorpha and other common refugium macroalgae used for nutrient export. By promoting macroalgae growth, the GRO can help support natural nitrate and phosphate uptake as part of a complete reef filtration strategy. This bracket is intended for flat edges such as the edge of a sump, refugium chamber, or compatible stand support. The flexible gooseneck allows the light panel to be positioned over the refugium area so light can be directed where macroalgae growth is desired. A power supply is not included. To run the GRO as a standalone refugium light without an Apex DC24 connection, use the optional Neptune PS-DC24 power supply. Choose the Flat Mount version when the light will be clamped to a sump rim, refugium edge, or other suitable flat mounting surface. For installations where the light needs to clamp to existing plumbing above or behind the sump, use the Pipe Mount version instead. Setup Directions Attach the flat clamp bracket to a secure flat edge near the refugium, position the gooseneck so the light panel is aimed across the macroalgae area, and connect the GRO to a compatible DC24 port or optional standalone power supply. Keep the light positioned to avoid unnecessary light spill into the rest of the sump and set the refugium photoperiod according to the aquarium's nutrient export needs.
