This flowed easily from the brush, in a strange way encouraging me to not try to refine it too much, just allowing it to "be", with the small hint of the brighter orange providing a sense of potential and ray of light. * A note on my "Local Tectonic Series"; this is a style of painting that has pre-occupied me most of the past year or so. These paintings seek to give an impression of the Australian landscape, but do so by not being "descriptive" or figurative. I want these to be works where people can look and find their own meanings within, shifting perhaps each day, evoking a sense of something they may not be able to necessarily put their finger on. With the sturdy oak frame, they can be hung on a wall or be freestanding on a bench or table etc. All of these come with wire hanging set-up on the back, as per photo.
