This product is a collaboration between Tokoname Ware and Kutani Ware.The teapot undergoes a base firing in Tokoname using Shudei (red clay), followed by black smoking. Afterward, intricate overglaze painting is applied in Kutani.The result is a refined Japanese design featuring gold cherry blossoms set against a traditional Aochibu (blue dots) pattern. This makes it an excellent gift, especially for international recipients.[Gyokko Kiln]This handmade teapot is crafted by Gyokko Kiln's second-generation artisan, Gyokko Umehara. Both the second and third-generation Gyokko are recognized as traditional craftsmen.All Gyokko Kiln teapots are equipped with a "Ceramesh" ceramic tea strainer for effective filtration.The clay used is Shudei clay and Yakishime clay, shaped carefully on a potter's wheel.Due to the handmade nature of these teapots, individual sizes may vary.
